Bio:
Lesley has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University. Following a teaching career as an art educator, she became Marketing and Promotions Manager for St. Ives Laboratories, managing the creative staff and promotions for this $500M company. She also managed promotional activities for several Retail Shopping Centers.
She has in recent years focused on fused glass and art created from neon. Her neon sculptures have been displayed at the Museum of Neon Art in Los Angeles. Her fused glass has been on display at The Artists’ Studio in Palos Verdes.
Process Description:
Lesley creates fused glass out of a blend of colored and dichroic glass. Each piece is one of a kind, and signed by the artist. The complex neon pieces are created from glass tubing bent into unique shapes, and filled with various gases such as neon, argon, helium, and krypton, with mercury vapor augmentation.
